About Us

Who is ClassEngine.eu?

We exist to make collective justice accessible to every European citizen — without cost, complexity, or risk.

Our Mission

Making collective justice work.

ClassEngine.eu is a claims technology platform that connects consumers affected by corporate and regulatory breaches with qualified legal representation across Europe. We are not a law firm — we are the infrastructure that makes collective redress work.

We identify systemic harms, aggregate affected consumers into qualified groups, and connect those groups with elite law firms and institutional litigation funders.

Our work operates within the framework of the EU Representative Actions Directive (2020/1828), which requires all EU member states to provide mechanisms for collective consumer redress. Since June 2023, this is a guaranteed right for every European citizen.

Governance & Ethics

Accountability over marketing.

Every qualified entity we work with must meet strict regulatory criteria established by the EU: they must be non-profit, have at least 12 months of demonstrable consumer protection activity, be financially independent from market operators, and appear on official government registers.

We are committed to transparency in how cases are funded, how data is handled, and how outcomes are distributed. We believe that trust is earned through accountability, not marketing.

Built on trust

Our commitments to you.

GDPR-First Data Handling

Your data is protected under the EU's GDPR. We only collect what's necessary, never sell your data, and share it with legal teams only with your explicit consent.

Funding Transparency

Cases are funded by professional litigation funders who cover all costs. You pay nothing. Funder shares are regulated and subject to court oversight.

How Settlements Work

When a case succeeds, compensation is distributed to all registered claimants after the funder's share is deducted. If the case loses, you owe nothing.

Settlement Process

How you get compensated.

01
Case succeeds
The court awards compensation or a settlement is reached with the defendant.
02
Distribution plan approved
The court reviews and approves how compensation will be distributed among claimants.
03
Funder share deducted
The litigation funder's agreed share (typically 20–30%) is deducted from the total.
04
You receive compensation
Your share is paid directly to you. No hidden fees, no surprises.

The bottom line:If a case loses, you owe nothing. If it wins, your compensation is paid directly to you after the funder's regulated share is deducted.

The Evidence

Why collective litigation works.

European collective actions are delivering real compensation at record scale. Here's the proof.

£1.5BAwarded in Kent v Apple (2025)36 million consumers, £27–75 each
133Class actions filed across Europe in 2023A record — and growing
36MEU consumers/year with valid claims never pursuedThe 'rational apathy' problem

Individual vs collective: the comparison

Legal budgetALONE: €5,000–20,000 (personal savings)COLLECTIVE: €5–50 million+ (litigation funder)
Cost to youALONE: Full legal fees upfrontCOLLECTIVE: Zero — win or lose
Risk if you loseALONE: Devastating (personal costs)COLLECTIVE: None — funder absorbs loss
Experts & evidenceALONE: Cannot afford specialistsCOLLECTIVE: Multiple specialists retained
Pressure on defendantALONE: None (case too small)COLLECTIVE: Existential (billions at stake)
Ability to appealALONE: Usually cannot affordCOLLECTIVE: Fully funded through all courts

The bottom line: Corporations count on "rational apathy" — the fact that your individual claim isn't worth the cost of a lawyer. Collective action breaks that equation. £27 per person becomes £1.5 billion when 36 million people act together.
